Haiya! Haiya! Haiya!

Haiya! Haiya! Haiya! = Mari! Mari! Mari!

Ahlan Wa Sah Lan = Selamat Datang

Kalau Ibrahim tak masuk bertanding, maka perkataan muhawarah ni belum lagi masuk kamus! Mungkin lepas ni Ibrahim boleh ikut jejak langkah Mak Ija utk lanjutkan pelajaran dalam Bahasa Arab. Insya-Allah.

Jawi : Chicken = chikin

3. The best part is that, dlm shopping complex, bacaan ayat Al-Quran didendangkan (spt dalam tempat beli-belah di Mekah & Madinah).

Cuma nak tarik perhatian tentang ejaan chicken & chikin dlm tulisan jawi..tu ajer. Yg tak biasa dgn jawi, mungkin boleh agak-agak bunyinya...mcm ejaaan topi dan tupai dlm tulisan jawi.

Merah, Biru & Hijau

Balqis = merah, Ibrahim = biru and Yusuf = hijau. Masing-masing kena compete utk tentukan siapa yg menang.
At the end of the day, Blue (BN!) came 1st, followed by Green (PAS!) and 3rd placing went to Red (DAP!).

Ayah pun masuk jugak acara tarik tali lwn cikgu....siapalah yg menang agaknya?

Kepong Open

Balqis & Ibrahim competed in 1st Kepong Open Taekwando Championship. Balqis got thru to 2nd round but Ibrahim lost in the first. Need to work out on his courage & spirit (semangat). First 2 minutes, he was ok uptill the point he got hit on the jaw!. Balqis however showed improvement in her defend & strategic attack hence the 2nd round achievement - tu yg haus sangat tu.

Tak Tahu Bahasa...

Demi utk capai matlamat menghabiskan audit Permit To Work , maka hari Ahad pun kena kerja - hence take the opportunity to audit in Kedah last Sunday + Monday. My visit to Kedah this time around taught me a thing or two about Kedah dialect / language.

1st photo was taken on the first floor of Pekan Rabu & the word is Peneram - you have to pronouce the ..ram in Peneram hard to sound like org Kedah. What is peneram? in Johor it's normally called denderam or telinga keling. The later is a bit sensitive & rarely use unless you are indoor - arwah atuk suka kuih ni. So this is the word you have to use to find this kind of delacy in Kedah.

2nd photo was taken when Afandi and I was looking for a place to have our dinner - At first we were taken back by the name of the place - Tat Nasi Ayam. We thought it is run by non-muslim for Tat is normally a Chinese name eg. Wong Tat Ming. But we were wrong! The restaurant belongs to a person with the name...Mokhtar. How on earth Mokhtar can be changed to Tat? Well...Kedahan is used to calling Mokthar with Mokhtat (without the 'r') or pasar become pasaq etc. Hence the place is Muslim's & we ate there.

Moral of the story -
1. ask if you don't know or else sesat jalan.

Maulid or Mau Lead!

Did not get the chance to share the experience in Masjid Kg Raja a day after rumah Tok Busu Wedding's. Sambutan Maulid Nabi in Masjid Kg Raja was organized by Pemuda UMNO Bhg Pagoh - attended and officiated by ADUN Bkt Serampang, YB Tahir Taat (friend of arwah ayah - i saw his photo in the album) and speech delivered by Ustaz Shahrin. Well for a start, no many people turn up coz i gues it was confined towards members only!

The irony is that, content of the sermont/kuliah by Shahrin not focusing on our beloved Prophet p.b.u.h. but instead talking about the use of Allah word by other religion. No doubt it's important but the platform is incorrect and it focused more on getting the Islam (more the Malay) to support them! Very sad indeed. Some even create sub-sermont session at the back.

Staying Alive

Congrats to Kak Long for getting the green light from Conference Organizer in Ireland (which part of Ireland? I don't know yet) to present her thesis paper. Quite interesting to know that you have to present the paper which have yet to be presented before in other conference. And if possible the topic of the paper must be extra-ordinary!

Well, i experienced the same thing in the recent TNB Safety Symposium where i was asked to present a paper. It was more like experience sharing and not so much of presenting new researh ideas etc. hence i tried to use catchy topic for my presentation - why? because i would be presenting the last paper on the last day. You could imagine the focus of the audience by then.

Then come the topic 'Staying Alive in Distribution' to reflect the activities / programs to be carried out in order to survive while working in TNB Distribution. If possible give a topic which is long and out of this world! The lesser the understanding of audience, the better otherwise the audience would say 'Alah! ini aku pun tau, tak perlu dengar presentation ni'. Nontheless, you would receive such comment in 'tabligh' others. Patient is the word!
